{This is a Feel Good Post}
Marrying soul + business has become my vision for this planet for a long ass time.
I remember ten years ago when us groovy, hippie, yogis with cash had to be in the closet.
Either the poor yogis saw it as non spiritual to value wealth, or the wealthy though the asanas were wacky moves reserved for the even wackier. Today‘s yoga is a little different. You can say what you will about the scene, but somehow we are beginning to embrace that being mindful, spiritual, and savvy is business can, in fact, co-exist.
Pretty faces with souls can also make million dollar deals. We are changing and with this change, come crazy things we are now allowed to do in the name of happiness.
We can chant, meditate, do down dog, and also strategize, plan, execute, and yes, damn it, be happy.
Now, don’t get me wrong, we have always been able to do this, but today we are slowly giving ourselves permission to be soulful & grounded. We are finally uncovering our masks, and owning our sensitivity.
Sensitivity does not make us weak. It makes us real.
The fact that we feel deeply means we connect to something beyond what most see & feel. And this gives us an edge. An edge I would never give up now.
But there was a time when I felt shame around it. I felt odd. I felt I didn’t really ever belong. I felt there was something wrong with me. I felt the eye rolls of friends, and the condesending words from men. I totally internalized it. And yes, hid it for a long time.
I have spent more than ten years studying how the spiritual is actually scientific, and how those who make fun of it, are actually just not educated in the truth of what is real. I own that now. I invite my friends, my family and my clients to own it too.
Because sometimes the wild and crazy things we do make us powerful beyond what we imagine, and when we feel our power in life and business, we become a ripple effect of happiness.
Own it.
