{This is a Feel Good Post}
You’ve heard me talk about the 3-legged Success Table. This is not an original concept of mine; I actually learned it from this Master.
3 Legs to Success: Physical, Mental & Spiritual.
I have devoted my life to the Mindset & Spiritual components, but sometimes not always prioritized my physical wellbeing. Don’t get me wrong, I have green smoothies every day, healthy meals, and walk 3x a week, and meditate daily, but I know my body is capable of more fitness, and it has been nudging at me..
So, I joined a virtual group. I get 3 intense workouts per week and on the other days I move my body for 45 minutes to an hour. This may sound like nothing, but boy, making this daily commitment, getting my work done, being a mommy, and getting my down time, has been a HUGE transition.
Transitions are a toughie for most of us. Anytime we make changes, physical, mental or spiritual, we have to learn to adapt, and the people in our lives ALSO have to adapt. When we are in transition, sometimes it is challenging to be there for our loved ones as they would like, and so, there’s transition for everyone.
Having a young family and trying to model self-love, a giving heart, and my own authentic power sure does provide plenty of opportunities to mess up, ask for forgiveness, and start over. But, it’s honest. And it is real. I love my work, and sometimes my family thinks that they come second. Never!
Yet, sometimes in transition times (ehem… building an e-course… yup this is launching right after the kids’ school gets out— yeah, I’m crazy!) the balance tips one way, and creates a void on the other end. Those we love feel it, and instead of going down the guilt path, I now live (and recommend) having honest conversations. Conversations of what is important, what to expect, and a promise that the scale will level out.
Transition times also requires mega self care. Here are my go-to Self Care Tips:
- Rescue Remedy: Homeopathic remedy that seems to really settle the nervous system, and create a sense of ease in the subtle body. Here’s a link: http://goo.gl/SSlT4c
- Ayurvedic (Abhyanga ) Self Massage. Traditionally this is done in the mornings, but I do dry brushing and then the massage at night. I seem to need it more in the transition time of summer to fall, and in winter. This does wonders for the nervous system (especially for us sensitive ones). Here’s a video tutorial (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_HQLsfZh5js) and I love (I mean I am obsessed) with this oil… http://goo.gl/Tf7iLp
- Eat root vegetables, feel your feet on the ground as you walk, and drink a healthy amount of water! ( I love rose tea and licorice tea too! )
May you transition with ease, a heck of support, and with a lot of self compassion. You deserve that!
Love,
Asha

Here’s a visual sneak at what I am working on…. be on the lookout! 🙂
