I talk to women all the time who work so hard to manage work, family, me-time, and doing nice things for others.
Face it, it is probably you too. No shame. We have busy lives; we have big visions, we care about our loved ones, and in the middle of all of that, there is taking care of us too.
And sometimes, that taking care of ourselves slips through the cracks of the to-do’s of birthday parties, errands, paying bills (and taxes), making dinner, doing laundry, and the occasional workout or yoga class (or maybe these days you are prioritizing this finally!)
YOU ARE DOING A LOT. You know it, your friends know it, your family (sometimes) knows it, and there is part of you that wants to stop the crazy train, even if just for a day.
And so, I am here to give you permission to do so. This weekend.
(you and I both know I cannot REALLY give you permission, but let’s look at it as an invitation.)
I AM INVITING YOU TO TAKE CARE OF YOUR THIS WEEKEND.
Take a moment. One bath. One fireplace sitting with tea. One walk in the woods.
What I have found is that when we are struggling with an area of our lives, or just plain being active and busy, we have to do a PATTERN INTERRUPT to shift our body, mind, and soul.
Do you know what I mean by this? Meaning that you deserve to do something that is completely outside of your day to day or so drastically different than what you would do, to break you of the pattern of the go-go-go hole your life has dug for you.
YOU HAVE THAT POWER.
So, remember, this weekend, think “One thing to pattern interrupt my crazy life”.
Bonus point: while you are giving yourself this luscious gift, imagine for 5 minutes how you actually want next week to look like. 😉
Extra bonus point: email me back and tell me what you did! Can’t wait to hear!
LOVE YOU,
Asha
