I’m in Atlanta this week. Had a VIP day with one of my clients, and then doing a Sales Training.
My time with my client Susie reminded me of the days when I first started working from home
and I had no idea how to tackle my day…
Overwhelm is common. And most of the time leads to paralysis.
Especially as creative beings and to-do’s from every area of our lives.
Not only do we have to take care of things at hand, but we have to think of growth plans, pay
personal bill, arrange for the plumber to come, schedule dentists appointments for the kids, and then
there’s the middle of the day unexpected vet visit…
It can feel like a lot, and before we know it, it is 5pm, and nothing has gotten done.
But not today. All that ends today. Because today you will have your Step by Step
process to go from overwhelm into clarity, focus, and action…
1. Brain dump. Yup, take a big piece of paper and write down everything that is taking up
real estate on your mind. Let it all out. Even the things that seem minor.
2. Circle the top 5 priorities
3. Number them 1 to 5.
4. Write the action items needed for each priority to be fully accomplished.
5. Do it. 😉 If you really don’t want to, then maybe the level of priority is less than you originally
anticipated.
I have done this process with all kinds of companies: from Entrepreneurs just starting to established
$12M in Revenue companies, and every time each group breathes a sigh of relief after doing it.
No matter the size and the level of responsibilities, all of us are affected by overwhelm and this simple and super effective process can bring you the beautiful clarity you want, and even better… get it all done!
